Privacy Policy for Signatures for Google Groups
Last updated: 13 October 2026
This policy explains how the Signatures for Google Groups Chrome extension handles data needed to create, save and insert signatures in Google Groups. It supplements #helper's general privacy policy, which applies to the corporate website and other services.
Controller and contact
The data controller is HELPER APTITUDE S.L. (Spanish tax ID B87915641), based in Madrid, Spain. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact rgpd@helper.es. For extension support, email tools@helper.es.
Data used by the extension
- Google Groups: the group name, group email address and group URL shown in Google Groups, used to identify a group and associate it with a signature.
- Signatures: HTML content that you create or import, used to save and insert your signature in the editor when composing or replying in Google Groups. This content may contain personal data if you include it.
- Pro licence: the licence key and activation identifiers needed to activate, check or deactivate your licence and display the number of activated devices.
The extension does not read the content of your messages or send signature content or group addresses to #helper servers.
Storage and sync
Group names and addresses, preferences and signatures are stored using Chrome Storage Sync. If Chrome sync is enabled, Google syncs this data across Chrome browsers where you are signed in; if sync is disabled, storage works locally. You can delete signatures in the extension and manage sync in Chrome. See Google's Privacy Policy.
The Pro key and activation data are stored in Chrome local storage and are not synced with signatures. You can deactivate the licence in the extension to release that activation and remove the key from that browser.
Licence validation and providers
When you activate, validate or deactivate Pro, the extension sends the licence key and necessary activation data to tools.helper.es. Our service forwards them to Lemon Squeezy to check the licence. The licence key and activation identifiers are not used for other purposes; #helper does not maintain its own database of signatures or licence keys.
Purchases and payments take place through Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy processes information needed to manage the order, payment and licence issuance under its Privacy Policy. The extension and #helper do not receive payment card details.
The licence service is hosted by Vercel. As a hosting provider, Vercel may process technical connection data needed to provide, protect and troubleshoot the service. See its Privacy Policy.
Purpose and limited use
We use this data only to provide and maintain the extension's purpose: managing signatures for Google Groups and validating Pro licences. We do not sell data, use it for advertising, build commercial profiles, assess creditworthiness or offer loans. Access to Google and browser data is limited to the features described in this policy and complies with Chrome Web Store's Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
Signatures and group data remain in Chrome Storage Sync until you delete them or clear the extension's data. Local licence information remains in the browser while the licence is active; when you deactivate it, we ask Lemon Squeezy to release the activation and remove the corresponding local information. Lemon Squeezy retains order and licence information under its own obligations and policies. Hosting logs may be kept for as long as needed to secure and operate the service.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to processing, and exercise your right to data portability where applicable, by emailing rgpd@helper.es. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency. For data that Chrome Sync stores in your Google account, also use Google's controls and options.
